The fall season is quickly coming upon us and that means it’s time to get your home ready. Here are a few ways you can transform your home for fall this year.
Things to add to your home this fall
1: Pillows
Whether they’re on your couch or a bed, fall pillows is an easy way to transition to the new season. I bought some from Walmart a while back for $5 each. They’re simple, but they are so cute and make my room seem like fall sprinkled its dust here.

2: Blankets
Along with pillows, any kind of blankets just screams “cozy” and that’s exactly the type of vibe you want going into fall. Put out some of your favorite blankets along with the fall pillows. Stick to darker, neutral colors such as grays, dark reds / maroons, or dark orange.

3: Kitchen / Hand towels
The next thing you can add to transform your home for fall is kitchen and hand towels. Changing up your kitchen or hand towels is another super easy way to transform your kitchen for the fall season. Finding hand towels that are fall themed with leafs or pumpkins or just darker fall colors. It quickly makes your kitchen area ready for the season.

4: Scents
Time to break out those fall candles and start burning them. If you’re like me, where you’re not allowed to have candles in your home, then I suggest getting plug ins. My favorite place to get these are at Bath and Body Works. They have such amazing scents and they always have sales going on.

5: Your wardrobe
Time to put away some of your summer tank tops and shorts and pull out the jeans, sweatpants, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. Okay, let’s be honest, because of quarantine I haven’t worn jeans in 5 months so I don’t see myself wearing them anytime soon, but it’s good to have them on hand.

6: Autumn Art
Add some fun and inexpensive autumn art work to your walls or in frames. This can be paintings, photography, or autumn themed photos of your friends or family. This makes your home feel more personalized and in the vibe.

7: Table Runner / Place mats
If you have a kitchen island or a dining room table, change up your table runners or place mats. Go for some fall, neutral or darker tone colors. You can also include small and simple fall decorations on your table such as pumpkins or scented candles!

Wrap-up
Decorating your home (and / or room) for the fall season is an easy way to get you in the mood. These are some super easy ways to make your home cozy! I am so excited it’s fall and I am starting to decorate my room and apartment and it makes me so happy.

I love autumn/fall so much!!! these are such great ideas as well. I can’t wait to be all cosy and wrapped up in my blankets
I do too! My room is going to be full of cozy blankets and pillows!
These are all great ideas. I think I will keep them for a few years time when the kids have grown up a little. I was actually reading your post and my toddler stuck jam all over my laptop, dribbled on the keyboard and said something about pillows.
They are beautiful though. Your ideas. Great taste.
Thank you so much!
